PICNIC

IBEW Local 648 picnic is Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Stricker's Grove in Ross, Ohio. Please call the Union Hall @ 513-863-6515 to order your tickets. Park opens at 12 and is open till 8 pm. Lunch is provided with drinks and ice cream, cotton candy, etc. provided all day.

IBEW Local 648 mourns the loss of Brother Joe Wright, who passed away on August 15, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident. Brother Wright was born on February 28, 1983 and initiated into Local 648 on August 1st, 2009. IBEW Services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home at 1350 Millville Ave. in Hamilton, Ohio on Thursday August 19th at 2:00 pm. MAY GOD BLESS BROTHER JOE WRIGHT, his family, and many friends.

HELP A LOCAL SCHOOL

Hi Frank, Here is the information regarding the Pepsi Refresh Project. The project is for $250,000 and will be used to purchase and install adaptive playground equipment at Bridgeport Elementary and Linden Elementary to be used by our multiple disabilities students in wheelchairs and those with limited mobility. There are over 1200 projects this month on the Pepsi web site, so we need ALL the votes we can get. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to secure this amount of money. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. This would be an excellent project to say that IBEW helped to win. Volunteers are needed to help set up the Sacred Heart Festival to be held starting August 13th, 2010 in Fairfield, Ohio. Volunteers are needed in the evenings starting at 4:00 pm on August 10, 11, and 12th. If you can help any or all of these days, please call the union hall for details at 863-6515.
